Earlier this month, I went to the Florida Museum of Natural History for "Celebrate 60," an event celebrating 60 years of Israel's independence, but I never posted photos from that event, so thought I would now before I forget again. The Jewish Council of North Central Florida hosted the event that kicked off with a special lighting ceremony (the first two photos) honoring the Jewish Community’s achievements in North Central Florida. That was later followed by a concert by the Israeli band, Kolot, which means "voices" in Hebrew (the second two photos). The audience totally got into their performances and joined in dancing and singing and stuff. It was pretty cool, I have to admit.
I recently graduated with a B.S. in journalism from the University of Florida and am currently working as a freelance photographer for INsite Magazine, which focuses on local businesses and entertainment. I love shooting period, but I especially love photographing the arts - like concerts, plays, ballet performances, etc. I would love to work for a magazine like Rolling Stone one day.
