Friday, July 4th
I traveled to the nearby small city of Alachua for the ninth annual July 4th Celebration featuring the "largest small town fireworks display in America." Somewhere around 15,000 or so people flocked to this special event, which also featured several vendors, a bunch of fun activities for kids, a BBQ rib eating contest and live musical entertainment. Here are some photos from the pre-fireworks show celebration. (I'll do a separate post with just fireworks shots.)
